HEALTH, WHAT TO BRING AND VENUES

CONTRAINDICATIONS | SOUND HEALING

The following people should consult their doctor before the first use of sound healing:

    •       People with carotid stenosis (prior to application in the area of the carotid artery/larynx)

    •       People with cardiac pacemakers, artificial heart valves, or cardiac arrhythmias

    •       People with a stent

    •       People with a shunt

    •       People with a deep brain stimulation device (DBS)

    •       People with epilepsy

    •       Pregnant women

Please notify Josephine if you have:

    •       implants (or near implants until they have completely healed)

    •       screws

    •       artificial joints

    •       inflamed joints and veins

    •       the skin, in the case of inflammatory skin disorders

    •       weeping eczema

    •       diseased veins

    •       pregnant

    +      sensory sensitive autism

 

Treatment should not commence until three days after injury at the earliest for:

    •       Whiplash

CONTRAINDICATIONS | YOGA

please notify Josephine if you have:

  • high anxiety

  • Injury, current or recovering

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Arthritis

  • inflamed joints and veins

  • Back pain or injury

  • Pregnant

WHAT TO BRING

SOUNDBATH RETREATS(Monthly retreats, Evening retreats)

  • Bring plenty of blankets/pillows to rest on. A mat, eye mask/bag, blanket, pillow. When you come to a soundbath, your body will get heavier, and it’s important you are fully supported and warm to gain the most from the experience.

  • Please arrive  15 minutes prior to start time.  I can’t let late arrivals in due to the nature of the event.

  • If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Please bring water with you, and a snack for afterwards. 

MINI RETREATS

  • Yoga props and mats are provided at the yurt. But feel free to bring your own mat if you want. 

  • Wear something you can comfortable to move in.

  • Water. 

  • Bring plenty of blankets/pillows to rest on. A mat, eye mask/bag, blanket, pillow. When you come to a soundbath, your body will get heavier, and it’s important you are fully supported and warm to gain the most from the experience.

YOGA COURSES

  • Yoga mats are provided, but please feel free to bring your own. optional blocks, blanket, pillow. 

  • Come in clothes you can move in.

  • Water.

VENUES & ARRIVAL INFORMATION

For all events, retreats, and sessions, doors open 15 minutes before the start time.
Due to the nature of these experiences, late arrivals cannot be admitted. Thank you for understanding.

YOGA COURSES, SUNDAY RESETS & MONTHLY EVENING RETREATS

Location: Slake Distillery
Address: The Chalk House, 24a Upper High St, Worthing BN11 1DL

Parking:

  • On-street parking available

  • Waitrose car park is a few minutes’ walk away

Arrival details:

  • Please come to the grey door at the side of the building

  • Josephine will greet you on arrival

  • Please note: there are a few steps up to the event room

MINI RETREATS

Location: The Yurt at Let’s Retreat
Address: Decoy Lane, Angmering, Arundel BN18 9QA

Getting there:

  • Turning off the A27 comes up quickly

  • Look out for a bright red and white sign that says “RESCUE”

  • Sat nav is strongly recommended, and please slow down as you approach the turning

Once on Decoy Lane:

  • Continue driving for around 2 minutes towards the yurts

  • You’ll see a grey “No Access” sign — please continue past this

  • Follow the lane until you see a small sign for the yurts

Parking:

  • Parking is located behind the yurts on the left-hand side

  • The space is tight, so please park considerately

  • Some cars may be blocked in — don’t worry, everyone leaves at the same time

Important:

  • After parking, walk back down the lane to the main yurt entrance

  • Use the path with chippings

  • If light levels are low, please use a torch or your phone's light

  • Do not cut through other entrances

🚗 GETTING HERE

  • Please park in Longships Road. 

  • Please walk up the drive to the RIGHT of the house, you’ll see a Echo Sign on the green side gate, Entrance is straigh ahead into the garden. 

 

🌿 WHAT TO BRING

  • Wear comfortable clothing and bring layers for relaxation.

  • Everything else is provided: thick floor mattress, blankets, bolster, pillows, and eye mask.

  • Water, aromatherapy, and time for reflection are included.

 

🕊️ THE SESSION

The session is held in Josephine’s home studio at Echo. Please note:

  • If you get lost, please message (not call) as Josephine may be with a client.

• • Ensure your phone is on airplane mode or switched off with no alarms set.
