Summer Solstice | Free Soundbath

The peak and mid-point of the year, a wonderful feeling of expansion, nature expressing itself authentically without apology... A beautiful time to dream, unfold your wings and show up just as you are.
But it can also be a time of fractured thinking, when the fiery energy of the season can lead to overthinking (anyone like me, with thoughts loud and all over the shop!?).
It is important that we pause, that we witness the beauty around us and within us.
The heart wants to retreat at times, back to the soul and seat of ourselves, and then it can rise up again, to connect, love, to commune and expand with more authenticity.

But if we are always 'on' spirit might find it too much, and leave the body, this can make us feel spaced out, flighty, disconnected or as if we are watching from above.
This might be something that can happen in summer, as the season of heat propels us into a space of 'go'.
Even when you do stop, you might find your thoughts are stronger than usual, supercharged, or take you off down tricky stories of the past or through wonderful paths of planning, creating and wondering.
In this soundbath, really take time to rest. You don't necessarily need to watch, just connect to your headphones or speaker, and take the opportunity to sink in.
You might be on the beach, or nestled in a spot in your garden, (or like me) you can use it as an aid before you go to bed(or in the middle of the night if your imagination is getting triggered from the suns energy and expansion).
To supercharge your soundbath experience, think on an intention that originates from the heart this summer season. The heart is air, fire, deep knowing and trusting.
The summer solstice is a beautiful time to reconnect with your deep inner world. Dream big, be playful and think on tiny, precious moments of joy.
I am planning on rising early(if I can manage it) and floating through some sun salutations on the beach before a swim. A walk in the woods, an offering to mother nature, and picking a few wild grasses for my table and to decorate the retreat candles that I am holding on Sunday morning. I've queued up a few yoga nidra and soundbath playlists so I can find some calm.
Happy Summer Solstice you beautiful lot.
