This week, we focused on connection. This can be applied to so many aspects of being, it's how we stay present, it might be staying close to a part of ourselves, or how we connect to the world around us.
It can also be a good way to gently notice if we are disconnected, if we are checking out, moving through the motions, numbing or not giving ourselves the value or self-worth of presence. (No shame here, sometimes we zone out as a way of keep ourselves safe, especially when we've gone through something hard).
I wanted to share my last poem, writing with you all.
Tonight we come together, in our monthly Soundbath, a true moment of connection for us all.
TO CONNECT
A Moment noticed, instead of passed by
A breeze, a shadow, the lines defined
To see and notice, these moments once passed
A heartbeat, a breath, deep connection at last
The tips of fingers, found meaning in the dark
Twisting flow, truest forms push forth, emerging
Circles, clean lines, no breaks, no blocks
Dancing shimmer, smooth motions, known trust
Roots, to wide skies, rise and fall
Sweet creak, and pop, sounds for the travelled
Swing and inner rhythm, tides of the one
Long string, wound tight, never breaking
A moment noticed instead of passed by
long pull, heart pushing, intuition alive
wide arms, blue wash, green growth from the ground
feet planted, hands truthful
Each moment, so fleeting
But connect, connected, connection.
Stay with me to
Connect.
Connected.
Connection.
